Day 01
Arrival / Negombo
Upon your arrival in Sri Lanka, you will be warmly greeted by our Ehalagala Travels representative at the airport. Then we will take you to a beautiful coastal town in Sri Lanka, Negombo. Which is known for its golden beaches and vibrant fishing community. You can explore the local markets or stroll along the sandy shores to witness a mesmerizing sunset over the Indian Ocean.

Day 02
Negombo / Chilaw / Kandy (Munneswaram / Manavari Temple) / Short Kandy city tour
After a scrumptious breakfast, we proceed to Kandy, the cultural heart of Sri Lanka. En route, we will visit the Munneswaram and Manavari Temples in Chilaw, two significant sites deeply rooted in the Ramayana legend. These temples hold immense spiritual importance for devotees and provide a glimpse into the ancient tales. Upon arriving in Kandy, enjoy a short city tour where you will explore the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, a place of great reverence. Stroll around the picturesque Kandy Lake and witness a cultural dance performance in the evening, showcasing the country's vibrant traditions.

Day 03
Kandy / Nuwara Eliya (Sri Baktha Hanuman Kovil / Seetha Amman Kovil)
Today, we head to the picturesque city of Nuwara Eliya, often referred to as "Little England" due to its charming colonial architecture and lush tea plantations. Along the way, we will visit the Sri Baktha Hanuman Kovil, a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman, and the Seetha Amman Kovil, a place with historical significance. Nuwara Eliya's cool climate and serene surroundings offer a perfect escape. You can visit a tea plantation and learn about the tea-making process while sipping on some freshly brewed Ceylon tea.

Day 04
Nuwara Eliya / Bandarawela (Divurumpola / Gayathri Peedam)
Leaving Nuwara Eliya behind, we head to Bandarawela, a charming hill town adorned with rolling green hills and cascading waterfalls. En route, we will visit Divurumpola, known as the place of the "Oath Stone," with a historical background. We will also visit Gayathri Peedam, a temple dedicated to Goddess Gayathri. Enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of Bandarawela and take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes.

Day 05
Bandarawela / Ella / Kataragama (Ravana Falls / Ravana Caves)
Today's journey takes us to Kataragama, a sacred pilgrimage site revered by devotees of multiple faiths. En route, we will stop by the beautiful Ravana Falls, a magnificent waterfall with a natural charm. You will also get a chance to explore the Ravana Caves, with historical significance. In Kataragama, you can immerse yourself in the spiritual ambiance by visiting the Kataragama Temple and participating in the evening pooja (prayer) ceremony.

Day 06
Kataragama (visit temple) / Ussangoda / Rumasela in Galle / Seenigama Temple Hikkaduwa / Sri Anjaneyar Temple Colombo
Begin the day with a visit to the Kataragama Temple to seek blessings and divine guidance. We then proceed to Ussangoda, a unique and mythical location believed to be the landing site of the flying chariot, "Dandu Monara," in the Ramayana epic. Next, we head to Galle to visit Rumasela, where it is believed that a part of the Himalayan mountain was dropped by Hanuman during his mission to Lanka. Explore the historic Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site, before continuing to Seenigama Temple in Hikkaduwa, dedicated to the protector of fishermen. Our final stop for the day is the Sri Anjaneyar Temple in Colombo, where you can offer prayers and reflect on the profound spiritual journey you've undertaken.

Day 07
Colombo / Departure
On the last day of your Ramayana Trail pilgrimage, explore the vibrant city of Colombo. Visit some of its iconic landmarks and shop for souvenirs to carry back cherished memories of an extraordinary journey through the sacred Ramayana Trail of Sri Lanka, courtesy of Ehalagala Travels.'
